About LOKD

A Simple Idea, Built in Switzerland.

LOKD was founded in Switzerland with a simple mission: to help people take back control of their time and attention.

It started with a problem we all know too well: wanting to focus, but constantly getting pulled back into distracting apps. Software blockers were too easy to bypass, willpower was unreliable, and subscriptions felt like another digital burden.

So we created a physical solution.

What started with one product — the LOKD Key — quickly became a real solution to a problem many people struggle with every day. Designed and still produced in our in-house facilities in Switzerland, the LOKD Key works together with our simple app to lock distracting apps with one tap.

As more people started using it daily, recommending it to friends, and telling us how much it helped, we expanded the LOKD system. The LOKD Keycard follows the same principle as the LOKD Key, but in a slimmer format that fits easily into your wallet — ideal for using the Key at home or in the office, and keeping the Keycard with you on the go.

We also created the LOKD Focus Timer, a physical flip timer for deep work, studying, and intentional work sessions.
