How LOKD Pouches work
What exactly is a LOKD Pouch?
A soft neoprene pouch with a locking magnetic closure. The phone is placed inside and remains inaccessible until the pouch is unlocked with a LOKD Opener. Nothing has to be installed or connected.
How is the pouch unlocked?
Place the pouch against a LOKD Opener. The closure unlocks in one simple motion.
Does the pouch block signal?
The signal-blocking Standard Pouch prevents calls, notifications, and data connections from reaching the phone while it is secured. The Camera Pouch blocks only the front and rear cameras, so calls, messages, and other phone functions remain available.
What happens in an emergency?
Emergency access and communication procedures are defined with your organization before rollout. Depending on the setting, this can include designated openers, staff-assisted access, and existing on-site channels such as reception, school staff, venue staff, or security.
Are the pouches reusable?
Yes. The pouches are designed for repeated use. Their service life depends on handling, storage, cleaning, and how frequently they are deployed.
What phone sizes fit?
Standard (24 × 11 cm) fits most modern smartphones with a case. XL is intended for larger devices, foldables, or multiple phones, depending on their dimensions. We confirm the right size with you before shipping.
For schools
Classroom questions
How is this different from collecting phones in a box?
Students keep their own devices with them while the pouches remain secured. Teachers do not have to collect, store, sort, or return the phones, reducing handling and storage responsibilities.
What if a parent needs to reach their child during class?
Parents can use the school’s established contact channels. Schools can also define exceptions or staff-assisted access for students with specific medical, accessibility, or family needs.
Does it work during breaks and exams?
Yes. The school defines when the pouches remain secured, whether for a single lesson, through breaks, or for an entire exam block. They are unlocked at designated stations or times.
How are pouches assigned to students?
Two common models are available: assigned pouches, where each student has a labeled pouch, and rotating class sets that are redistributed as needed. We help you choose the model that fits your class size and daily routine.
How do we get started?
Tell us about the school, intended use, number of students, and preferred timeline. We will recommend a setup and outline the next steps. A pilot with one or two classes can also be arranged before a wider rollout.

How long can a phone remain secured?
The pouch requires no battery or charging. A phone can remain secured for the duration defined by your event or organization. Multi-day deployments should include a clear process for access, charging, emergencies, and overnight storage.
Is it suitable for NDA meetings and closed sets?
Yes. The signal-blocking Standard Pouch prevents phone access, camera use, calls, messages, and data connections while secured. We plan the entrance, exception, emergency, and exit process with you so the policy is clear and practical throughout the deployment.
Can we brand the pouches?
Yes. Exterior logos, custom colors, and branded packaging are available on request. We provide a mock-up for approval before production begins.
How many openers do we need for an event?
It depends on the guest count, venue layout, number of entrances and exits, and required throughput. We size the opener setup with you before the event.
What if only the cameras need to be blocked?
The Camera Pouch physically covers the front and rear cameras while calls, messages, and other phone functions remain available. It is designed for film sets, factory tours, and other environments where camera use is restricted. It does not prevent screenshots, forwarding, or other digital sharing.
