No wall of screens
The ceremony, first dance, and speeches are experienced directly, not through the phone camera in the row ahead.
Pouches · Private events
Weddings, milestone birthdays, and private parties. Guests keep their phones, while the room stays phone-free. Your photographer gets clearer shots, while guests can focus on the event itself.
Why go phone-free
Guests watching through a screen are not experiencing the moment in the same way. LOKD Pouches make a phone-free event easy to implement at the entrance, without repeated reminders from the host. The photographer gets clearer sightlines, while the people you invited can focus on the moment itself.
What hosts get
The ceremony, first dance, and speeches are experienced directly, not through the phone camera in the row ahead.
Your photographer does not have to compete with raised phones for clear angles and unobstructed shots.
Reduce unwanted posts of children, guests, or private moments that were meant to stay within the event.
Fewer phones in the room means fewer distractions during the moments guests came to share.
What actually happens
The problem is rarely one guest. It is what happens when an entire room is filled with screens.
How the event works
We plan the guest flow with you in advance and, on request, support the entrance process alongside your host, venue team, or wedding planner.
A simple note in the invitation lets guests know in advance that the event will be phone-free.
Guests keep their own phones. The pouch can be introduced alongside the welcome drink, seating card, or check-in process so the experience feels natural rather than clinical.
Phones remain secured during the ceremony, dinner, or party. Emergency access and communication procedures are agreed with the venue or event coordinator in advance.
Openers can be made available during a designated photo window, such as cocktail hour or between courses. Guests can access their phones briefly before the event returns to phone-free.
LOKD Openers are positioned at the exit so guests can unlock their pouches as they leave.
Why not something else
Where private hosts use it
Ceremony, first dance, dinner, party. The moments you will want to remember through the photographer's work rather than through a crowd of raised phones.
Speeches, toasts, family gatherings. The day stays centered on the person being celebrated rather than the social media around it.
Dinner parties, engagement celebrations, private club nights. When the room matters more than the story about the room.
Quick answers
Yes. You can schedule a designated photo window, such as cocktail hour or between courses. Openers are made available temporarily before the event returns to phone-free.
Emergency access and communication procedures can be arranged with the venue coordinator or entrance team. Guests with specific accessibility or contact needs can also be accommodated in advance.
Yes. Names, event dates, custom colors, and selected finishes are available on request. We provide a mock-up before production begins.
Rental usually works best for a one-off event. Venues, planners, and frequent hosts can also purchase reusable sets.
The mechanism
The same process works for weddings, private dinners, and larger celebrations. There is nothing to install and nothing that needs a power outlet.
Everyone puts their own phone into a pouch.
One press on the stud locks the pouch. It stays with its owner, in hand, pocket or bag, and cannot be opened by hand.
Hold the pouch against a LOKD Opener and it releases in one motion.
Plan your day
Send us the event type, date, guest count, and venue location. We will come back with a recommended setup and pricing as soon as possible. Based in Switzerland, we can also support selected events on site.
For concerts, festivals, keynotes, and other public events, the same pouch system is adapted to a higher-volume entrance and exit process.
